Meade King LLP is a commercial law firm and we are looking for a full-time paralegal to work in our commercial property team.
It’s a very busy team with many prestigious Bristol, South-West and National clients. You’ll be working assisting our commercial property team in providing corporate support to our niche, nationwide practice acting for healthcare professionals in their business dealings. This includes assisting in the acquisition and disposal of properties, dealing with secured lending and acting for both landlords and tenants.
The team is growing, and the right candidate could be offered a training contract in the future. All recent trainee solicitors have been recruited from the paralegals already working for us.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get real legal experience in a fast paced environment, with exposure to many different areas of law.
Who We Are Looking For
- Be an LPC, LLB or GDL graduate (or currently studying one of these part time)
- Have a good academic background in law
- Have an interest in commercial property law. We’d like it if you’ve completed or are doing the relevant LPC modules
What You Will Be Doing
You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of legal work such as due diligence, drafting, organising and managing documents, involved in every aspect of the sale, purchase and funding of commercial properties and legal research amongst other work. You’ll have good exposure to clients here, along with working directly with partners and other solicitors in the team and alongside other departments such as our corporate and commercial team.
You’ll need great communication skills as you’ll be dealing with people on the telephone, by email and by letter and be expected to take an active role in the management and organisation of your department’s workload.
Your starting salary will be £17,500 and you’ll have a six month probationary period, after which we may review your salary. We offer good benefits to our staff including flexi-time, cycle to work, Tax-Free Childcare scheme and Perkbox.
